About Us

When Scout came into my world I knew we'd live an active and healthy life together.  I searched for foods and a diet that would maximize his potential and not break the bank.  Everything I found contained fillers, preservatives, lists of ingredients I couldn't pronounce, or was unsustainably expensive.  It was then I decided to make his own formulas utilizing highly reputable studies to find the natural ingredients that would keep him healthy and leading the way.  I want to bring these formulas to the world and share the love that I've found in treating Scout to life enriching foods.

Scout and I moved from Utah to Nashville in 2021. We brought our ideas with us and began to discover the robust farmers market and maker community that exists here.  With the support and inspiration we found in other small businesses we embarked on growing our project from something just for Scout, friends, and family to a wider audience.  We started with one small event, him by my side, navigating questions we hadn't prepared to answer.  With each market and each event we gained friends and loyal customers willing to take a shot on an idea. Scout was a mainstay at the markets, greeting everyone and demanding love.  He became a part of our community.

On September 4, 2024 we were randomly targeted by another driver who fired four shots into our car.  Scout was hit in the chest while I narrowly avoided being killed.  It was a  moment that changed my life forever.  My inspiration and partner was gone.  Life without Scout wasn't the same.  Any person who loves their animals deeply knows the pain of losing them, but the added layer of the disturbing incident created a void and confusion.  I am infinity grateful to my partner, Chloe, who was there for me in every way even though she too was experiencing the loss Scout boy, who she loved deeply, and the near loss of her partner.  

It was months before I could gather motivation to do the most basic tasks.  I wasn't sure if I was going to continue the journey I had started with Scout.  But, the support and love of the market community, who'd become family, made me realize that honoring Scout through continuing our project was the best way to make sure his life wasn't taken in vain.  I eventually regained the courage to start the business again, to go back to the markets at which he had become such a mainstay.  It was heartbreaking to be there without him and the conversations were difficult.  Putting myself back out there following a tragic incident was hard but ultimately therapeutic.  I found so much love, so much confirmation that we were doing the right thing.

In November, 2025, Chloe and I adopted our new boy, Woody.  He has been an absolute blessing to our family.  An Australian Shepard, Woody came ready to conquer our property!  He loves exploring the pond, chasing birds, napping in the spring sun, and of course, he loses his mind for his morning formula.  You'll be seeing a lot of Woody around here!

Scout will never be replaced or forgotten.  He was the reason for my shift in thinking and I hope he becomes and inspiration in your life.  Chloe and I look forward to growing our Scout's Honor family and hope to bring joy, health, and an abundance of love to our communities.
